What personal data this site collects, why, where it is held, and what you can ask me to do with it.

Who is responsible for your data

inHR is the People Analytics practice of Igal Geron, based in London, United Kingdom. Igal Geron is the data controller for personal data collected through inhr.uk, and decides why and how it is used.

For any question about this notice, or to exercise any of the rights below, email igal@inhr.uk.

What this site collects, and why

1. When you use the contact form. The form asks for your name, your email address, and optionally your company and a description of the problem you want help with. When you submit it, the site also records the IP address the request came from and the time it was received.

This is used solely to reply to you and to discuss possible work. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have asked to be contacted about a professional service, and replying is what you would reasonably expect. The IP address is recorded to protect the form against automated abuse.

2. When you subscribe. The subscribe form asks for your first name, surname, company and email address, and optionally why you are interested. It records the exact consent wording you agreed to, the time you agreed, and the IP address the request came from, so that consent can be evidenced later.

This is used solely to send you occasional notes from the practice. The lawful basis is consent, which you give by ticking the box and can withdraw at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything sent before you withdrew it.

3. When you simply read the site. Pages carry Cloudflare Web Analytics, which reports aggregate traffic such as page views and referrers. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not build a profile of you. Nothing on this site sets an advertising or tracking cookie.

Where your data is held

Form submissions are processed by AWS Lambda and stored in Amazon DynamoDB in the AWS eu-west-2 (London) region. Enquiries are stored in a table named inhr-enquiries; subscribers in inhr-subscribers. Contact-form enquiries are additionally emailed to me at igal@inhr.uk so that I see them promptly. The site itself is served from Amazon S3 via Amazon CloudFront.

The organisations that process data on my behalf are Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage and email delivery) and Cloudflare (DNS and privacy-preserving analytics). I do not sell your data, and I do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

How long it is kept

  • Contact enquiries: kept for up to 24 months from your last contact, then deleted, unless we are working together, in which case they are kept for the duration of that work and for six years afterwards to meet ordinary business and tax record-keeping obligations.
  • Subscriber records: kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. Following an unsubscribe, a minimal record of the withdrawal is kept so that you are not contacted again in error.
  • Analytics: aggregate only, held by Cloudflare on their standard retention terms. It contains nothing that identifies you.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask me to: give you a copy of the personal data I hold about you; correct it if it is wrong; delete it; restrict how it is used; provide it in a portable format; or stop using it where I am relying on legitimate interests. Where I rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Every email from the practice carries a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email igal@inhr.uk and ask me to delete your record. I will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office. I would rather you told me first, so I have a chance to put it right.

Children

This site is aimed at professional buyers of HR services. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes materially, the date at the top will change with it. Substantive changes affecting how your data is used will be notified to subscribers by email.

Demonstration data

Every figure, chart and screenshot on this site uses synthetic data for a fictional company (Crescent Consulting Ltd). No real employee data from any client or former employer appears anywhere on inhr.uk.
